Introduction

MineSweeper 2KIV is a clone of the ever popular MineSweeper from Micosoft. In this updated version you will take your training in the MineSweeper simulator, and put it to use removing mines from the area. You must take your Sonache Helicopter to the high seas to clear the way, your only weapon is the next generation sonar attached to a cable under your copter. Just one probelm, if you ping an area with a mine it will explode, taking you with it, so don't get jumpy just find those mines.

Objective

The objective of each mission is to mark the mines for the incoming convoy. You can accomplish your mission by flying your Sonache to each grid location and deploying your sonar. The read out will display the number of pings recieved back from the surrounding grid locations, its your job to triangulate the position and mark suspected mine locations.

Controls

Controling your Sonache is simple, just fly around with the arrow keys. Up being North, Down being South, West being Left, and East being Right. You may move freely around the grid, you will move to a grid location and mark, or use your sonar in the location.

- When you have reached a location you may deploy your sonar by using the "S" key. The sonar will be deployed, and the information will read back to you. This is your only method of finding the mines, if you deploy in a location with a mine your mission and your life will be lost.

- Markers indicate the location is suspected of having a mine, you can mark these location by flying to the spot and using the "D" key. This will document the location for your convoy, if you had previous marked the locaiton this action will remove the documentation for the location.

Tips

- When the ping comes back you are given the number mines in the surrounding grid locations. If the grid comes back with no number all locations surrounding it are free of mines as well.

- Perimeter locations are less likely to have mine clusters.
